Jennifer Turek, MSW, LCSW
Outpatient Therapist
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I believe that wellness and healing comes from our mind, body, and spirit. It is my passion to help clients connect to themselves in a way that promotes growth and empowerment, by using therapeutic methods that focus on re-framing and placing focus on strengths that will facilitate growth.
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago and went on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in research, private counseling settings, hospitals, community mental health, and private special education schools. I continued my education at Duke University’s Integrative Health Coaching Program, followed by sitting for the national exam to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Currently, my focus is working with women at all stages of life who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, loneliness, life transitions, creating a meaningful life, motherhood, work-life balance, and spirituality.
My approach is eclectic, yet centers around Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which looks at our thought and behavior patterns. I often use goal setting, which is helpful in creating accountability and measuring progress. It is my goal to create a safe and warm environment where you will gain skills that are helpful in navigating life. I look forward to being part of your journey!
